OCRJet

Privacy Policy

OCRJet is designed so your documents stay yours. This page explains exactly how your data is handled.

Local processing

All OCR runs directly in your browser using on-device engines. When you upload a file, it is read by JavaScript in your browser and is never sent to an OCRJet server.

No file storage

Files are not uploaded, not stored, and not retained after you close the page. Your document exists only in your browser during the current session.

No training on your data

Because we never receive your files, we cannot use them to train models or build datasets. Your content is never sold or shared.

No account required

OCRJet works without registration. There is nothing to sign up for and no profile that could be linked to your uploads.

Cookies

OCRJet uses a single cookie to remember your language preference. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.

Third-party services

The site is hosted on Vercel. To run OCR in your browser, recognition models are loaded from a public CDN (jsdelivr). Neither the hosting provider nor the CDN receives your files — all processing still happens locally on your device.

Children's privacy

OCRJet is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is dated 2026-08-18 and is always available on this page.
